What Guests Are Saying
Fort Pickens Campground offers a beautiful, secluded environment with friendly campers and staff, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained and features nice updated restrooms, some areas need maintenance, such as uneven asphalt and cleanliness in the showers. Despite minor issues, many visitors express a strong desire to return, enjoying activities like biking, fishing, and exploring the historic Fort Pickens.

Great campground, close to the beach and far away from Pensacola! Had a beach all to ourselves on spring break. Bathrooms were getting renovated.

One of the country’s best NPS campgrounds. Gulf coast beaches, historic fort, great birdwatching and great hiking trails make this a must visit location.

Well taken care of. Very quiet. Nice that trails go to the fort and bay and gulf. Spots are pretty well spaced out. We were there in early March. Nice weather.

This was our 5th year camping at Fort Pickens & we have always loved it. This year however we were told they didn’t have enough staff to do maintenance & it showed as the bathrooms & showers really needed some cleaning. Glad they are refurbishing the bathrooms & showers but I think they should have let the new paint dry longer as it is already peeling. On a positive note - the new picnic tables & fire pits are great! And the little convenience store by the Fort is a great addition.
