Fort Pickens Campground

Everything is clean and well maintained and the campground hosts are so nice and helpful. Great showers. Be sure to watch the stars come out on the beach.

The park had been closed due to a storm. We had an earlier reservation and the park was not communicating with anyone. We ended up canceling the reservation and making a new one. The bath houses are not being cleaned thoroughly. The area around the camp sites are in need of weeding. The manager needs to step and inspect the sites and the bath houses every day. Take responsibility and hold your employees accountable. The park has been seriously going down hill for quite some time. Take responsibility and get your park back in shape.

It has been years since I have been there. It was great when there was a little store for basic stuff like ice, etc. That is really my only disappointment that it is no longer there.

Perfect site and wonderful stay! This was my second year in a row to visit. Love the perk of having a laundry room. Great campground and safe area. I can say this is my favorite vacation spot!

Ft. Pickens is a beautiful campground, facilities are great, people are very friendly, and camp host is very responsive. Great experience!

When checking in, to our surprise , the host had already let a group check in on our site regardless of having our name posted on the site. The group had set up a tent and put things around the campsite and we could not get on because they had left the site and went somewhere for the day. (we made sure to wait until after check-in time to avoid any issues🤔)
When asking the host, she said she felt sorry for them and said they look like good girls…… wow…. We had our Grandson with us for the first time and I couldn’t even go down to the beach or play with him because I had to babysit the campsite so that we could at least get some of our stuff out. I then went and asked the camp ground host and she said those girls were probably gonna cry……. I asked her if we could at least move their tent and I volunteered to help her, but she said no because of liability……. when telling her that I couldn’t even spend time with my grandson, she came by herself and started moving the tent but she had a bad attitude and nearly threw the tent into our truck. ( it was a very large tent with very heavy metal poles).
Sad, Ft. Pickens use to have good hosts. We were there 2 weeks and I never saw her again for about a week and a half..

Always good here, the renovations to the bathrooms and showers are very well done. The grounds and equipment are maintained. The park itself is beautiful. We are regulars here.

We had a great time at this campground! The location was beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. Everything was clean and cared for, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this campground and look forward to coming back!

I love the bay at Fort Pickens. The water is calm, and the beach is private.
I like the Bike trails. We can bike on the road or in the Forest.
I enjoy the dock at the Fort.
