What Guests Are Saying
Fort Pickens Campground offers a beautiful, secluded environment with friendly campers and staff, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained and features nice updated restrooms, some areas need maintenance, such as uneven asphalt and cleanliness in the showers. Despite minor issues, many visitors express a strong desire to return, enjoying activities like biking, fishing, and exploring the historic Fort Pickens.

A nice park. Facilities were very poor in campground. Worst I've seen in my travels. The fort was very informative and interesting. Hard to figure which one got to the top. Overall worth a visit at least once.

Enjoyed our stay! Loved walking on the trails, walking the beach. We did both sides of the island and the side facing Pensacola we got some awesome pictures of the jellyfish. On the trail I got some awesome pictures of an Eagle and also Great horned owl!. At the fort area I got picture of the Osprey. We watched the Coast Guard do a basket rescue training in the Bay.

Ft Pickens is a great campground in an awesome location. We enjoy our time spent there. This year, the bath house conditions were subpar. Basically, the bath houses and showers were not cleaned during our 6 day stay. One of the hosts indicated that a private company had been contracted to clean the bath houses. The back up was National Park employees. Neither was doing their jobs. This was disappointing and not representative of the expectations we have for Ft Pickens or any other COE campground.
We will return to Ft Pickens next year. Hopefully, our review after that stay will be more positive.

Everything was great except the showers. The faucet for the shower heads were difficult to use.
Park is beautiful, lots to explore; close enough to Pensacola beach for dining.

The National Seashore area is beautiful! Campground at Fort Pickens is large with five different loops and spacing between sites are good. Two newer bathhouses. Unfortunately they were not cleaned during our five day stay. We contacted the volunteers who are back up for the workers. We travel with dogs. Be aware dogs aren’t allowed on the grounds of Fort Pickens or Florida beaches. There is a small dog park beach area but we found it too crowded for our dogs. Overall a good visit to this area.

The ranger in duty was very helpful as were the campground hosts. The sites are spacious and the campground was quiet and peaceful.

Fort Pickens is always great. My only complaint is that Internet coverage at least for Verizon is terrible. Otherwise it's a lovely campground and waking up to the sound of the surf and those beautiful turquoise waters and white sand makes up for it.

Everything was pretty good. The only thing is the restrooms still need updating badly.
