What Guests Are Saying
Fort Pickens Campground offers a beautiful, secluded environment with friendly campers and staff, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained and features nice updated restrooms, some areas need maintenance, such as uneven asphalt and cleanliness in the showers. Despite minor issues, many visitors express a strong desire to return, enjoying activities like biking, fishing, and exploring the historic Fort Pickens.

The beach is beautiful. The fort was interesting, not what I imagined. The Blue Angels do not practice in December, January or February, so I missed that. I stayed in Loop "C" and the showers were creepy, I drove 30 miles to a travel plaza with nice showers, but at $20 per shower. The shower facility in loop "E" was closed for a remodel. Hopefully that will have nice showers. They absolutely close the entrance gate in the evening so make sure you have the code with you if you leave the park.

The campground was very clean and the hosts were friendly.
The beaches are absolutely amazing with the soft white sands and natural surrounding.
There were so many birds singing - it was so peaceful and serene.
A quick walk to the beach to catch the amazing sunrises and sunsets was the highlight.
There is so much history at Fort Pickens and it was all very accessible and free.
We rode our bikes all throughout different monuments and learned a lot about that era.
We loved the area and were lucky to find pickleball courts at a nearby park that had free and open play.
We will definitely come again especially in the winter months when it’s quieter and pleasant temperatures. Loved the National Seashore !

The campsite was amazing. The roads to the campsite were on the small size we have a 30 ft. Travel trailer that is 8 foot wide. There’s not a lot of room to maneuver. The laundry facility by our camp site only had one set of washers and dryers that worked. So it took a long time to complete laundry loads.
