What Guests Are Saying
Fort Pickens Campground offers a beautiful, secluded environment with friendly campers and staff, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the campground is well-maintained and features nice updated restrooms, some areas need maintenance, such as uneven asphalt and cleanliness in the showers. Despite minor issues, many visitors express a strong desire to return, enjoying activities like biking, fishing, and exploring the historic Fort Pickens.

First trip to fort pickins and we will be back. It has it all for us. Great biking, Gulf beach, history and blue angels practicing. Campground well tended with easy access to Pensacola beach for restaurants and supplies.

Always enjoy my stay here each year. I love hearing the National Anthem played in the distance at the military basr and like seeing the occasional Blue Angel fly over. I lile that is has the calmer bay side water to go to on one side and.waves on the other. The history of the fort there reminds pe to keep in prayer for out nation. Personnel are professional and on top of things.

Overall the experience was positive. Easy spots to pull into, beautiful walks to the beach over all a great time. The fort was interesting and need to see.
I will say the showers need some work. Very poor.

Showers can use some major upgrades but other than that we had a wonderful stay and will be back again!

The location of this campground is incredible. Miles of beautiful beach right across the street and down a boardwalk. Lots of wildlife and quiet. The sites of campgrounds are small but good- many with shady trees. The cons of this campground are the bathrooms and especially the showers. Not cleaned often and pretty bad. Two out of the four or five showers didn’t have hot water when I was there a few weeks ago. If you aren’t using the facilities, then the location of this campground makes it a great place to stay.

It a very good park love the fort and beach but the showers needs a towel bar and to be updated. My camping spot and the one next to it flooded so maybe add some dirt spot E5 and E6.

The beach are great and so are the restaurants.
But the campgrounds could be better we have stayed here for the past three years and every time we just don’t enjoy it like we do big lagoon. The bathrooms at the campground grounds could use a major upgrade especially in the showers.
