This COULD be a fantastic place to stay. It has a weight room, pool tables, a beautiful pool, a shuffleboard area, and even a pickleball court! The campground is huge! Lots of campsites, friendly staff and and the campsites are nice size and level. There are bike paths next to the road and that's nice. If you are into bars and fishing, or you just want to hang out at your campsite, this would definitely fit the bill. The area restaurants and bars had great food! Also, as always, the KOA campers were friendly! HOWEVER, here are the reasons we rated this KOA so low and won't be back. For Florida, it just feels very barren. Dead dry, very little greenery. Most KOA campgrounds run sprinklers to keep their grass alive and are picky about no vehicles on the grass. Not here. Parking on the grass is fine. And there is no watering to keep things green. The water pressure was low and it was turned off for the entire campground multiple times during our short stay. It is too far away from everything except bars and fishing. We picked it because of the close proximity to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, BUT it took over an hour to get there!!! According to some of the locals, there used to be a ferry service that ran from Pine Island to Sanibel but not anymore. Most KOAs come by and pick up your trash or have dumpsters in at least several areas of the park. This park is big, and the only dumpsters are at the front of the park. About a mile and a half walk from the campsites near the back. The washers were expensive and only half of them worked. The dryers were very expensive --$3.25!!! No option for anything less than 45 minutes. The system for packages: they were left on a shelf in no particular order. There was a notebook that was supposed contain the names and sites of those who received a package and a place to sign that you got it. One package of ours was noted another was not. We had to go through all 30 or more packages to find ours. Not arranged in any order just dig through everyone's to find yours. The camp store was poorly stocked. Finally there was no propane. Now, I know all of this sounds picky, and for a state park or more inexpensive campground, this would have been great, but for over $100 a night, it was way overpriced.

5 stars from us! Quiet & serene w/ occasional bald eagle flying overhead - all facilities were impeccable. The nicest thing was the people we met at Bingo & corn hole. Thank you for being so welcoming to us! We are heading to an RV Park closer to Red Sox Spring Training, but I would have stayed. Hope to be back soon.

We were here early before most others. We came in on Wednesday stayed 9 nights The camp ground was 2/3 empty. The whole 9 days. That would have been nice if they did not put us all together. We had 14 empty sites on one side 4-5 on the other and 5-6 across the way and they had 3 of us all on top of each other. My camper had to hang off the back of the pad and the back stabilizers were 4’ off the back of the pad. No room to park the truck after setting up camp. Super tight sites for us. We have a dog and could not even have her out without her being in the one of the other lots. Now with all that said the grounds were clean and nice. If you plan on sitting inside your camper or not being at it then this would be great place for you. Pool was nice besides it closed at dusk and that’s like 6:00 pm.

We had a beautiful site with water small pond front location. It was a perfect camp site located in a quiet area outside of city traffic. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. There’s a nice dog park and playground, lovely pool and other amenities including a Pickleball court. It is a campground not a luxury rv resort.

Very Big campground, a Lot of sites were free. They put us on Grass site next to the lake. Showers and bathroom are very modern and new and Great. Pool and Hot Tub are also very good. The water Filtrationen area close to our side made constant noise Düring the night. I find the rate to high, they do not offer wifi inclusive, which I find should be for that rate.
