The camp host was very rude. We were one of two guests in the entire campground. My husband drove over in the vehicle linked to the registration and asked him for the code to the bathroom. He refused saying we got it in the email. We didnβt. He still refused, and then rudely asked us when we were leaving. We never got the code to the bathroom. The sites are pretty exposed, no trees, very basic. Iβm sure it bakes in the summer. The road going in is rough washboard for at least 5 miles. The place is run down, thereβs a creepy dilapidated building on entry, everything is rusty. I only gave it two stars because the Ocala Forest deserves them. We wonβt return to this camp.

The host and wife are always welcoming and they keep the camp ground clean, safe, and maintained with exceptionally clean bathrooms. Been coming for years and will continue to do so in the future. Be sure to follow ocala and campground rules. Specifically, when using the gate after hours.

This was a beautiful camping area, which was extremely conveniently located for riding on the ATV trails. We camped in tents with little ones and the campground was gated and had a perfect riding track for the kids. The campsites were really large and equipped with quality picnic tables and fire rings. There was not an electric or water hook up, but there were water spigots nearby the sites which helped with dishes and hand washing. There are trash bins located in abundance around around the campgrounds. The bathrooms were clean and cool. The showers were also clean, large, and had hot water. The weekend got relatively busy and the bathrooms stayed clean the whole time. All the info you need is provided in your reservation confirmation and the camp hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful when we had questions about the camp and/or trails. The trail head in the campground offered maps of the area. They also did a great job of making sure non-campers weren't riding all over the campground while the gates were open during the day. The gates were closed at night offering extra security, and the mini-track was closed up during quiet hours to discourage night time riding but reopened early in the morning for the fun to resume. There was plenty of firewood to be found nearby. There was limited shade, and definitley some dust from the roads but both were to be expected given where we were. I would recommend a tent for shade and a generator for charging things. It was affordable and easy to reserve. We had a fantastic time and we will definitley be going back!
