Big Scrub Campground offers a peaceful and clean camping experience with friendly and helpful camp hosts. The facilities, including bathrooms and hot showers, are well-maintained, making it a comfortable stop for campers. While the access road is bumpy and some areas show signs of wear, the campground provides a great atmosphere for outdoor activities, especially for families with children.

Big Scrub is kind of disappointing for its price. $28 ($20 for site and $8 for uncle Sam for the "convenience" of using the online service) unless you have the special passes and then its closer to $15 which is more fair.
No hookups at all except for 3 spigots randomly in between sites spread across the whole site. Bathrooms are nice. Few sites are level and there is no shade which is crazy for a park in Florida.

Interesting place to stay. Off the beaten path and lots of ATV/UTVs. Decent restrooms and showers. Camp host was very helpful

The campground was well maintained. The host I believe his name is Chris and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The ATV trails were fun and well kept.

The campground is big - lots of sites. No electric, but Bear Boxes are provided. The previous night at Hopkins Prairie, Mr. Bear visited my site, so I was glad to see a safe place to store my food. The bath rooms were very clean. There was hot water in the shower, BUT, they've set it up so you have to push a button to get the water to run. The problem is, the button is not located next to the water handles, but 2 steps away, so you have to step out of the water to keep it running! Not a fan.

Pretty good campground for access to the Centennial Trail, considering it doesn’t have water or electric hookups. I didn’t see the shower house so I can’t comment on that. A little noisy on a Saturday night from a group of dirt bikers revving and riding around the campground at night, but no loud music or rowdiness. Only complaint is the difficulty with purchasing a pass for the trail when the cell signal (at least for Verizon) is fairly weak. Recreation.gov application that you have to fill out to get your pass requires a ton of information but doesn’t allow for entering an Access Pass number and calls the Centennial Trail “the Adventure Trail.” Not the campground’s fault, just a really annoying way to start out for a ride.

While lacking a bit in privacy this campground was well maintained, clean and very quiet. Thank you for a peaceful nights sleep! I would stay here again

Haven't been in 15 yrs, was sorry to see the camp with 1 tree, pile of trash (picnic tables), one whole section taped off, un kept, looked terrible. No toilet paper in the restrooms. Very sad to see how run down it was.

The trails are unsafe with the big machines that use them now. The camp host have done a good job of clearing and dragging them. But someone needs to enforce the size rules for the big machines or make trails one direction only. There were two head on collisions during the time we stayed there.
