Basic sites, some have power and water. Trails are sandy. You need to ride with some speed. We had a good time there and would go again

This park is 5 miles into the Ocala National Forest, great for off-roading. We were able to make it to the campground with our 30 ft class C on the hard surface roads, not paved. Campsites were relatively level and the hosts were very friendly and informative. No power, but there were faucets sprinkled through each row as well as bathhouses.

The trial seems one way when you get on due to how small it is. In fact it's two way. I was hit head on by a side by side and subsequently was badly injured. This isn't safe at all for enthusiasts.
On a more positive note the bathrooms are very clean

As I am typing this, the National forest page for ocala national forest big scrub campground still shows the campground closed until further notice. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/florida/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=83717&actid=29
I talked to a member of Recreation.gov customer service and she assured me that if the campground was not to opened in time for our reservation window we would be notified and my payment would be refunded but I got no notification. We felt that the trip that far would not be worth the expense if we arrived and weren't able to camp. I had tried to call the forest ranger station the days leading up to our reservation window but only got the voicemail. I made the reservation before I found the page that showed the campground closed until further notice.
I believe this was all brought about because of the 2 hurricanes that crossed Florida within a time period and communication between the actual camp area and the recreation.gov didn't allow for an accurate update.

We love it here! Get up, grab a coffee and off 4-wheeling for the day. The Rangers are so awesome too. Very friendly and informative. Park is clean. We spend a lot of time here. I can't wait to go back.
Water hook up, they do have bathroom and showers w/warm water. Bring a generator if you want electric.
Rangers Rock! Thank you for all that you do.

The first two times I visited this campground, I enjoyed the experience. There were very friendly camp hosts that kept the place in good working order. Unfortunately, my third trip to this place was anything but enjoyable.
The buildings all have broken windows, and busted doors. There are no longer any camp hosts on-site. The weeds are growing through the top of the picnic tables. Trash and litter is everywhere. (People are literally fly-dumping in the parking lot)
It's a shame to see this OHV camping area in such distress. SHAME ON THE FOREST SERVICE for allowing this!
Their motto is 'Caring For the Land and Serving People' "Well, they sure don't live up to that at this facility."
