An incredible area for watching sunsets, a laundry room, and clean restrooms. A beautiful spot to enjoy the Myakka River

Perfect island views every morning and right on the water if you’re big into fishing. Driveway kind of sneaks up on you, so be careful driving in, but otherwise, it’s a great place to stay! No RV? No problem! The guy that owns the place has RVs to rent to you

Let me start off saying that the owner is a really terrific guy. Called today to see if we needed extra time and thank us for staying there. He also bought us the cadillac of fire grills to build a campfire. He also answered our text if we have questions about the campground within minutes. We had hot running water every time to take showers. There's also a nice laundry facility on site which was really great. Also, if you're a birder it's a great place to be. We also had a manatee swim behind our camper. The people who live there are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next year. Thank you so much Gregory for your hospitality.

Very sad for the experience overall.
The place is not worth the value charged for it. It is a small area, right by the highway, so it is very noisy.
We had a bad experience at night with another camper screaming and shouting around midnight, scaring the kids who were with us.
I am still receiving emails charging for the amount paid - again, too much for the poor conditions of the place.
Last minute decision to camp there. Not doing again.

Let me start by explaining that this rating is based on the lack of access/communication with management and no clear description on sites.
I booked a site last minute in their website. We selected site 7a that included the RV, 2 adults and 3 dogs. Price was quoted and confirmation received. Email confirmation arrived as well.
As we were going to be arriving after hours I called and spoke with Gregory. He moved us to site 6 while on the phone and sent a link for payment that was more than my confirmation and said it was the pets or the taxes which neither would be accurate. No further phone communication with him or anyone. When we arrived there was nobody around to help and site 6 is not marked. Another camper came out and helped point out where 6 was and luckily site 2 was open for us to back in and get turned around to back down the peninsula and into our site.
We had the Myakka right along our drivers side and it was very serene. The water hookup proved interesting with intermittent pressure issues followed by strong chlorine smell one day and then mucky film another. Fortunately we travel with our tank full and decided we’d use that for the duration.
There are no amenities and the amount we were charged was extreme for the accommodations. Fair warning, there is a steep driveway entrance off Tamiami and our 40 ft motorhome scrapped and netting and exiting but we have a bar just for that purpose and protection.
