Campground attendants were a bit too strict on parking permits. Didnt even allow enough time to unload a car before getting it into the overflow lot. Also need to repair the water hose at dumping station for rinsing out the black tank. Had to hold hose to the broken end and work the lever with my foot.

Clean and spacious campsites. We stayed in Site 38. There is a path with stairs down to the edge of Lake Allatoona. Site was paved and level. Large gravel area with picnic table and fire pit facing lake. Our hot water stopped working so we had to shower in bath house. Good hot water pressure. No soap for hands at sink so I had to take my own. Hand dryer on wall was very weak and did nothing to dry hands. Showers were fairly clean but walls could use a good scrubbing. Vents in ceiling always seem to be forgotten when cleaning wherever we go and this place was no different. Visited Kennesaw Mtn. Battlefield Park and hiked the trails to the top for some great views of Atlanta and surrounding area. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Met very nice campers throughout the park as we walked our dog. Park staff were helpful by answering questions.

The campground was very nice but the showers were filthy. There was soap scum on the walls that had been there for some time. This was the opening week so I know there is NO COVID Protocol for cleaning these restrooms. Not even an acceptable protocol. It makes me not want to return even though the rest of the campground was nice.

The spot had a great view but the picnic area was full of weeds when we arrived and rocks were all over the parking area.

When we came to the entrance there was a faded stop sign painted on the road which I did not notice. I pull up to the stop sign at the guard building which brought everyone out waving and making snarky comments at me to backup and walk to the building. Ah yes southern hospitality.
The park itself was beautiful well kept and clean.
