We stayed in site 46, which was fine for us. It was very shady [as is most of the campground]. We could not get Starlink, but we had 1-2 bars of Verizon, so we used our cell phones while we were there. Site 46 is not recommended if waterfront is important to you. It is fairly close to the swimming beach, but the lake was very low when we were there in early May. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the campground, and we saw deer almost every evening. Altoona is pretty--we got some nice sunset shots from a group parking area near our campsite. Of course our favorite thing about this campground is its proximity to Trust Park, and we did make it in for a Braves/Phillies game! (Takes about 25 minutes in decent traffic conditions; more like an hour to 1.5 hours after the ballgame is over). No complaints with the very nice hosts...we did not use the bath houses.
