We love camping at Winfield! The campsites are very roomy with lots of shade. We had site #67, which was right on the water. It has its own little beach where the kids can swim. The only problem we had were with ants. Next time we will spray the site before setting up.

Winfield is the only campground that we have had trouble with ants and we weren’t alone! Seems like this happens every time we camp here. One great thing is that the hurricane and the pine beetles seem to have left this campground alone. Go figure!

Love the campground however site 30 is in the sun ALL day. So it’s very hot in the summer

Such a beautiful, peaceful, well maintained campground. This has to be the nicest camp site I have ever stayed at before. Perfect for toddlers with the sandy beach that they have.
