What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Love the diversity of the sites and views. I've camped here many times. Staff is great and the fishing has always been a good time.

While we enjoyed our time here in Loop C, some things to mention are: There is significant damage from Hurricane Helene. The restroom by us was a bit of a walk, aged, and only has one shower per side. Signage to find our spot did not exist and it was a bit of a guessing game. None of these are game changers but could affect someone’s stay.

Water was muddy. Maybe this has been fixed? Campground had just reopened after hurricane Helene.

Beautiful large sires! Especially appreciate the gravel covered sites that do not get muddy in the rain & drain quickly!

Really nice spots all along the water. Bath house is not that convenient but clean with hot showers!
Staff was great, let me in after traffic delayed my arrival past 10pm. Thank you !
