What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff, making it a peaceful place to enjoy nature. Many visitors appreciate the gorgeous scenery, access to the lake, and the opportunity to see wildlife like armadillos and woodpeckers. Although there are some lingering effects from Hurricane Helene, including tree damage and a need for improvements in certain facilities, overall feedback suggests a positive camping experience.

While we enjoyed our time here in Loop C, some things to mention are: There is significant damage from Hurricane Helene. The restroom by us was a bit of a walk, aged, and only has one shower per side. Signage to find our spot did not exist and it was a bit of a guessing game. None of these are game changers but could affect someone’s stay.

Water was muddy. Maybe this has been fixed? Campground had just reopened after hurricane Helene.
