Toccoa River Sandy Bottoms Campground offers a well-maintained and beautiful location, ideal for fishing, though limited bank access may require waders. Campsites are spacious, but parking can be tight, and nearby nighttime activity may cause some disturbances. Overall, the location in the campsite itself was well maintained and very beautiful. It’s just so happened that there was a burn ban that only went into affect basically the day that I got to the campsite and since I had planned on using a campfire to cook, I had to buy a propane stove. The fishing is pretty good I would definitely recommend waders as bank access is very limited but I enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back

Campsites are nice and spacious, but it's tight parking at the pulloffs. The biggest issue was people hanging out at night at the nearby recreation area. The light from their bright flashlights and car lights was annoying.

This is a nice spot to fish for trout. Decent runs with a few small pools. The bathroom is a pit toilet, that’s all you need to know about that!

Great campsite with plenty of space for four tents (two backpacking tents and two 4 person tents) between the two tent pads. Location was beautiful, looking directly across to the Toccoa River. The vault toilet facility was well maintained and clean. The only nitpicks to this campsite is that it doesn't have direct parking access and you need to park your vehicle down by the boat entry once you have unloaded everything. Additionally it is very popular for fisherman so there were lots of boats and trucks nearby in the AM. Though all of the fisherman were politely enjoying the beautiful location so not even a real issue. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

We had a great trip. We brought kayaks and canoes and enjoyed the convenience of camping right on the Taccoa River. We made two separate floats and both turned out great. No cell service while at the campground, which was honestly nice to help relax. We all had a great time and will return again soon.
