I just wanted to let y'all know that Shannon. The host that we had the majority of the time we were there is phenomenal even for all days. She's awesome.

The primitive site we had was absolutely fabulous. Really my only complaint was the pit bathroom was so full of bugs. It was not even usable. The flies were all over the toilet seat. It was absolutely disgusting. I was told there was a separate crew to take care of the pit toilets and they had not been around. Probably short-staffed. Imagine that. One of the hosts sprayed some organic bug spray to try to mitigate the problem but it was still disgusting. Next time I will stay at the primitive sites in the improved campground which has actual bathrooms with no bugs

Great spot despite the 250 ft of hill to get your gear back and forth. Quiet, clean, and private. Also a great view and a great phone signal.

Good campground. Good 5g. Bad bugs during the summer; mosquitoes, flies, nats.

This site is on the lower section closer to the lake. There was a big group playing loud music and talking very loudly, so I was worried about that. I got to my campsite and noticed someone was already occupying it. They clearly were using it as a longterm shelter. I didn't bother them because it would have taken a long time to move all their stuff. I check the website and noticed the site across the path was available so I walked over there. The first thing I saw was that the fire ring was filled with garbage, a lot of melted plastic and toilet paper. I felt kind of weirded out at this point so I debated going home, but I drove 2.5 hours. I found another site at the upper section so I reserved that and stayed there.

That spot was nice and quiet. There were plenty of dead, fallen limbs to use for a fire. I carried my kayak down to the put in (very loosely used) and had a really nice time on the lake. It was very quiet with only a few boats and paddleboarders. I did most enjoy my stay but will never go back.

Lovely secluded location in the trees, just enough gap on pitch 4 for Starlink, no one else around.
