Very quiet and picturesque campground. Beautiful views of the lake and great trails for all levels. The only suggestion is to put a dumpster closer to the sites. Otherwise, a great place to camp.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we have camped at. Our site was very private and shaded. Would definitely camp there again. Also the bathhouse was super clean.

Beautiful campground and perfectly remote. Had a wonderful stay at site 100. An overall great experience. Plenty of hiking in the area and just a very enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend this campground.

The dumperster was full the first 3 days we were there. Very inconvenient to take it to the one near the front gate. The campground could use another bathhouse/ bathroom. Otherwise, its a beautiful place and kept very clean. It's one of our favorites.

Campsite hosts were helpful and friendly. Campsites spreadout. Quiet. Clean. Steep hillsides at some sites are a risk. Limited beach access.

From Atlanta, take I-75 north to Exit 293, then Highway 411 north to Highway 136. Turn right on Highway 136 and follow to Highway 382. Turn left on Highway 382 and look for signs to the campground-- access road is directly across from the volunteer fire station.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Reservations are required for all campers, with limits on occupancy and vehicles.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Campground gate is open.

- Vehicles can exit at any time, but cannot re-enter after closing.

- Use caution when entering due to steep road conditions.
Site capacity
- Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 days within any 30-day period.
Fires & fuel
- Please do not move firewood; buy locally to protect the forest.
