Our site was right on the water, which was lovely. The walk up the road along the river was also really gorgeous—we killed an evening just enjoying the scenery. The campground itself felt very safe and family friendly. There were several families there with young kids that roamed the campground on their bikes.
I wish that the map provided on the information wall was a little clearer. It was very grainy and the roads were not well marked. I didn’t plan ahead very well and had to use the map for navigation - which didn’t go very well due to the difficulty of reading it clearly. Fortunately, we picked up service 5-10 minutes down the road so it wasn’t a big issue. Just plan ahead and know where you need to go to get to your next stop!

The rules state you can only run a generator for four hours which I understand , but the campers today are more energy draining . There is electricity at the first campground tallulah , so I don’t understand why it can’t be run thruoughout the campground . I know costs but I feel it would make the campground a lot better. We have to lug a big generator and monitor the output on the batteries and we don’t run air or lights that much. We have a twelve volt fridge so it’s the only thing that runs.
