We picked this location understanding it was somewhat of a primitive location but did have bathroom facilities. Being a couple of elder status, this was important. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was the restroom facilities were disgusting and unusable. There was human waste to the lid of the toilet and waste on the floor and walls of the dilapidated old building. Having paid for the site we decided to stay and would have to travel 15 mi to town to find rest facilities when needed. In addition all the garbage cans were overfilled. We did speak with two rangers and brought these items to their attention.
We setup our tent on site #2 and prepared for the stay. That evening we had a terrible rainstorm lasting several hours only to be woken by a tent full of water about 4inches in depth. Going outside our tent it was discovered that we were in the direct path of drainage for these two sites, which was not marked as a no tenting location.
Needless to say this was not a pleasant experience and certainly not one we should have paid for.

Me & my friends & our children have been camping there at the West Fork for over 20 yrs. I would say that the new reservation thing will probably help. I want to thank you for all that you do. It is a blessing to have a place to go camp out with our buddies & children. HOWEVER, WHY HAVE THEY STOPPED STOCKING THE WEST FORK BRIDGE WITH TROUT?? That has been a popular fishing spot for a long time & we have been bringing our boys who have fallen in love with the trout fishing there. We are starting to bring our grandchildren now & there were no fish out there. What a disappointment. Please let me know that you plan to change this for next summer because we will have to change our plans after 20 yrs.
