What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and friendly, helpful hosts. Many visitors enjoyed spacious, private sites with stunning views of Carters Lake and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, as well as nearby attractions like Ellijay and Blue Ridge. However, some concerns were raised about parking difficulties, the distance to restrooms, and noise from other campers disrupting the tranquility. Overall, it is recommended as a great camping destination with a serene environment.

Very peaceful and Picturesque. However the entrance and roads in the park are very steep and some of the sites are difficult for larger motorhomes. Our 37' diesel pusher just barely fit on our pad, the rear exhaust was over the rear cross ties with only 6" to spare and our door cleared the patio railing by inches, we had to close the door to exit the site. I would strongly recommend anyone towing a vehicle like we were to unhitch before arrival at entrance road and drive them separately.

The down hill into the camp ground is steep but manageable. The parking spots are great and well maintained. There is a steep drop off down to the lake. The apple picking in the fall is great. The apple festival was a huge arts and crafts event. Very cool is thats your sort of thing.

This was our first trip to Doll Mountain and hate that we wasted so many years not knowing what a great place it was. The setting is beautiful and the sites are excellent - totally paved. There was a huge wooden deck to sit on and enjoy the great outdoors.
The camp hosts were personable and helpful.

The facilities are well kept and the area is beautiful. There's not much privacy between sites, so keep your preferences in mind when choosing to stay here. Overall we had a great experience!

Small, quiet park. Restrooms were very clean. Very friendly staff. Parking pad was a little shorter than what was listed. Couldn’t quite get RV and truck in.

We loved Doll Mountain! It's high on a ridge, so there are limited camping spots and there is no water access apart from the boat dock. But the water is wonderful! We loved kayaking on it. We will be back!

The campground and restrooms were very well kept. We had a beautiful lakefront campsite with a deck, fire ring, grill, and picnic label. The sites were close together but relatively flat and well kept. There are plenty of nice trails and hikes available. We will definitely stay here again.

This was my first stay at Doll Mountain. I've wanted to stay in the past but it has always been booked up. I was glad that I found an opening. My stay was quiet for the most part. Barking mutts were the worst part of my stay. People leaving their dogs in a pen outside of their camper than taking off for several hours and allowing the dog to just bark and bark.
The campground hosts are friendly and the campground is very clean including the restrooms. My only negative on the campground is that they need more bathrooms. I was able to ride my bike to the bathouse for a shower and to use the restroom, but by the time I rode it back to my camper I was drenched. I look forward to staying there again this year.
