Was our first time. We stopped over on our way to Tennessee. We’ll definitely come back for a longer stay.

The site was great, but the camp hosts women play favorites, we changed sites while there, we had to be out of ours by 1.00, but the site we were moving into, that gentleman did not have to be out of his, so we had to wait, the camp host women both just said oh well, makes you wonder whats going on behind the scenes.

A beautiful site! Gorgeous views of the water and a big tent site. It's pretty windy due to the exposure from the lake. A short walk down some stairs to the site, plenty of parking, and relatively separated from other sites. Old Federal is my favorite campground!

Hola ,una opción sería que pusieran caminos o bajada para el pago independientes para no tener que cruzar con otros que acampan

The location of this park is great if you like to camp on lakeside campsites…as most every site is lakeside. The staff is extremely friendly and we personally enjoy the fact that the rules are highly enforced. It’s a peaceful campground too. If you’ve never been to the park, you should just be aware that some of the sites are very short … and you will not be allowed to park vehicles or boat trailers on any of the non-paved areas. That’s a good thing for most … in that it keeps rule breakers from smothering their campsites with stray vehicles and toys. There are, however, several parking spaces in other areas of the campground where a camper can park the excess vehicles as needed. You just can’t occupy any of the bare ground with such.
We also like the dump facilities at the park. The dump site is always clean and the hoses/connectors are quite useable. My only suggestion there would be that the park might look into adding another dump site since there’s currently just one and it often gets backed up in the mornings as folks try to leave.
The bath house facilities are dated and in need of some new fixtures and TLC. But they’re still clean and useable.
The location of the campground is good. It’s far enough away from civilization that it remains quiet, but close enough to get almost anything you need.
That said, Old Federal has been one of our favorite campgrounds for years. However, we noticed during our last two stays this year that the grounds are in EXTREMELY bad condition. I realize we’ve had some major storms blow through this year, but that’s no excuse for not picking up the downed tree debris or letting the grass get so high (knee high in several areas).
