Campground was very nice and it was great that most of the campsites were on the water. Great views of the water and boats. It was nice to be able to walk around the entire campground with easy walking on pavement and sidewalks. The only negative part of the campground is that they don't keep the restrooms and shower areas very clean.

We love this campground! It is flat enough to ride our bikes around, has several beach areas and it is kept very clean. Attendants were visible and driving around to check on things. You will have to dodge a lot of duck poop though. The restrooms do not stock paper towels so if you use their facilities, bring your own with you to dry your hands. The best sites book up quickly - especially on the weekends so plan way ahead...however, there are a lot of really nice sites!

Everything was excellent except the number of and locations of the Restroom. All else was outstanding. Park was very clean, site have beautiful locations and staff delivered excellent customer satisfaction.

What a beautiful campground! Great sites right on the water. Very peaceful area. Several sailing schools very close by. So nice to see all the sailing boats in the evenings.

This is a hidden Gem!!! This campground is well kept and each site that I visited was nicely manicured. I personally witnessed the staff cleaning the bathhouses a couple of times a day. I had a nice primitive tent spot out on a peninsula. It was reasonably private and quiet. I will definitely be back.

Most of the sites are angled so that the side of your rig faces the water. There were a few nice beaches for swimming. Did not use bathhouses so I can't say how they were. Verizon and AT&T had great service. We will definitely camp at Old Federal again.

Take I-85 north to I-985, take Exit 8, turn left on Hwy 347/Friendship

Old Federal is accessible via I-985, which is approximately 7 miles to the west. US Highway 23 also runs nearby, providing additional access to the area.

General
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Due to COVID-19, camper registration will take place through the gatehouse window. Upon arrival to the campground, please have your ID, license plate number, camping unit’s license plate number, site number, and discount pass (if applicable) ready to give the Park Attendant. Please approach the gatehouse slowly and bring your vehicle close to the window. At no point should you park and walk to the gatehouse window. Do not attempt to enter the gatehouse.
- Gatehouse open 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday - Thursday. Gatehouse open 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday - Sunday.
- Payments are not accepted at the gatehouse.

- The campground does not accept mail or food deliveries for campers in the campground. Campers must coordinate to accept these items at a location outside the campground gate.
- Gates lock at 10:30pm and reopen 7am.
- "NO SHOWS" will be charged the full amount for their reservation.
- DISCOUNT PASSES must be presented upon arrival and can only be used for ONE site where the cardholder is the REGISTERED camper. Fraudulent use of a discount pass may result in a mandatory appearance in court in accordance with Title 36 CFR 327.23 (d) RECREATION FEES. DISCOUNT PASSES must be applied at the time the reservation is made.
- Gatehouse Attendants have limited or no internet access and are unable to perform actions affecting a reservation.
- LENGTH OF STAY for campers is no longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period for any USACE campground on Lake Lanier (Ex. Cannot stay at Bolding Mill Campground 14 days with another reservation immediately following at another USACE operated campground on Lake Lanier). Consecutive reservations under different names that exceed 14 days are not authorized and are subject to eviction and/or the issuance of a citation in accordance with Title 36 CFR 327.7 (b).
- Commercial operations are prohibited in USACE operated campgrounds. Rental campers must be operated and set up by the registered camper.
- Day using is prohibited. Registered campers must occupy their site overnight.
