Year after year we continue to book this shelter for our annual family 4th of July lake day and year after year we are impressed! It’s clean, spacious, conveniently located close to a swimming area. We love Elrod Ferry!

Our check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. The shelter area was clean and ready for us, and our boat rental from Big Water Marina was excellent.

Our employee appreciation day turned out great. We had around 100 employees show up and no complaints. parking for the company was a little pricy for a large group. But the overall experience was great. A special thanks to Park Ranger Lewis Scott Lusk for all his help. The lake was beautiful and Elrod Ferry site was beautiful.

We arrived to the site to find a very large group of people at the pavilion that I reserved. It took more than an hour for a n employee to come to the site and get the people to leave. I was hosting a birthday party for my son, so invitations had stated a certain time for the party.
We were not able to set up and decorate the area as planned.
The facility should be patrolled and if areas are rented, those pavilions should be checked to make sure the right people are using it.
