We’ve stayed at Springfield Campground many times over the years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots. The campground is clean, peaceful, and beautifully situated on the lake. Most sites are waterfront, and while not all have direct water access, the views are always fantastic.
Site #41 is a spacious double site that we’ve returned to often—it’s perfect for spreading out and enjoying the lake. Site #35, where we stayed over the 4th of July, might be our new favorite. It’s right on the point with a gorgeous view and just enough shade from one big tree that doesn’t block the scenery. We even caught fireworks in every direction from our site!
The campground is conveniently located just a few backroads from Anderson, making it easy to get to and close to where we’re building our home. We’ve had great luck with minimal bugs, and the lake is perfect for floating and relaxing during summer and fall visits.
Pro Tips:
Bring floats for the lake
Pack some shade for sunny afternoons
Don’t forget the good food—this is a great place to cook and unwind
We’re already looking forward to trying Site #37 next time. Highly recommend Springfield for anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside camping experience!

This has become our favorite Campground!! Love the water access from the majority of sites. More than half of the sites have good shade. Local grocery is not to far from the campground. Love that I can swim or kayak from my site

This is certainly not our first experience at Springfield, but each time we remember why we keep coming back. We especially appreciate the friendly paid staff who, from check in to check out and all during, make the campers feel welcome and secure. The beautiful campsites are well maintained and the views on almost all sites make it a pleasure to take in your surroundings.

Beware Bag Worms.
Nice large fairly level shaded site.
Didn’t realize the oak tree overhanging the Rv was infested with Bagworms until preparing to depart.
2 days of scrubbing to get the stains out of the TPO roof membrane.
