What Guests Are Saying
Whitetail Ridge offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. Many campers enjoyed the spacious, clean sites with lovely views of the lake, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities like fishing and kayaking. However, recurring ant infestations and some dated restroom facilities were notable concerns, especially for those camping in tents; overall, it remains a favored destination for camping enthusiasts.

Beautiful campground , helpful hosts . Water view from site 46 and campsites far apart for privacy . The dryer didnt always dry my clothes but at least this place had working washers and dryers . Not many campers so had a lot of open sites . I would go again . Nearby Hill and Dales was nice day trip .

Our camp site was incredible. Kayaked right from our site. Saw eagles. Host/hostess were incredible. Closely located to things to do. Will go back soon!

Nice and quiet during the week.
A small campground, with most every site lakeside. Water views everywhere.
The fish were jumping! (I'll have to learn to fish)
We camped in tents, glad for water and electricity at each site.
The full moon over the water and through the trees was lovely and peaceful.
Oh, it was very very hot, but no mosquitos at all! Can you believe it?
Restrooms were clean, attendants at gate were kind and thoughtful.
Next time I'll bring my kayak too.
Such a nice place to camp. We will return!

Everything was great except the ants. Staff was great, the view, the sites were well maintained but we had so many ants EVERYWHERE. At the site, in the camper, at the water. I even went to get in my kayak and there were hundreds in it for no reason. Same with my wife's kayak. They have got to do something about them. We even left one night early of our 2 night stay. Definitely won't be coming back. There's plenty more camp grounds to choose from.

Great place…. It’s incredibly difficult to book online or with a card. The recreation.gov site just keeps rejecting everything. After about 15 attempts and 20 min on the phone with a help line one finally processed my payment.

The camp grounds are wonderful, easy to get to, the reason for a fair review is only if you plan on putting a boat in the water. The bank at every place we pulled up to was covered in trash. And I don't know if there was algae blooming or what but there was a green stuff floating on the water like pollen but green. So if you plan on boating i would recommend to find cleaner water. If your just camping is great. I know the water isn't the fault of the camp grounds, but the authorities. But you do think they would clean up that mess on the banks.

Really nice campground. Staff was very friendly on check in and check out. Area was clean. The bathrooms are a little run down, but very clean. We got a lot of ants in our trailer, but that's just nature sometimes.
Overall we had a great stay!
