This was my third time at Lake Rabun and it's always lovely. I tent camp so I can't speak to the RV experience but the non-hookup side of the campground has always been quiet and peaceful for my trips. The hosts come around often to check on campers, the bathrooms are solid, and the waterfall trail and lake being just a stroll away from a campsite means there's plenty to do for people who, like me, prefer to not get back in a car once they've set up a tent site for a relaxing vacation.

Lake Rabun is a perfect spot for relaxing in nature or a home base for day trips. I have been coming here for over 50 years and it is still one of my favorite places to camp. The camp hosts are very friendly and attentive to keeping the facilities clean. Local dining is excellent if you don't feel like cooking. Mama G's Italian, Rusty bike (breakfast and lunch), and Clayton Cafe to mention a few that I always hit when I am camping at Lake Rabun.

the campground is not maintained very well. I was at site 46, which needed to be leveled and regraded with better drainage.. it rained a little and my tent was in a couple of inches of water. the fire pit was flooded with just a few minutes of light rain. it was a waste of money for sure. the hosts were very nice, but the grounds were under par for sure.
