I always love camping at Cumberland Island. (This was my 3rd time). My only complaint for this visit was the volunteers at Sea Camp Station

We had a great time. Everthing was clean, timely, and the island and beach are beautiful. We will be back!

It was another excellent adventure. This was my second camping trip there. I went last year but, only for one night and I camped alone. I highly suggest that you camp for two nights. This gives you more time to explore the island's beach, the marsh, the ruins, and the river. You can walk for miles on the beach and not see a single person. Prepare for rain. It rained both nights. If you can't find enough wood for your campfire, the ferry always carries wood so, you can meet the ferry in the morning to buy more. There are lots of animals. I recommend camping in Feb --it may be cool but, that's always better than being too hot.

Island was pretty, but I don’t recommend going during the summer. The amenities are fantastic with drinking water showers and during our trip ice cold water and emergency air-conditioned rooms. However, I was disappointed by the lack of information about the flora Fana and terrain. Everything I read was a repeat of previous signs. Well is a beautiful ecosystem. I felt I did not get a very educational experience.

We had so much fun staying on the island and exploring. We did a tour through the ferry company, which was very worth it. The only bad part of our trip was the heat, but we knowingly went in early August. The showers made the heat bearable.

The days were hot but bearable. There wee ticks and mosquitoes but the worst were the tiny bugs that apparently could move thru the screen into the tent.

We love the park! But recently heard about a potential land swap that would allow multiple mansions constructed! Please don’t let the last natural barrier island development like the rest of them.

Campsite was very clean and open. Our site at Stafford beach had a lot of ticks on the ground but that is not something the park can really control. The amenities are great. My wife and I both enjoyed the shower after a long day of biking, even though it was only cold water. The beaches are very private and great for a romantic picnic.
