It’s was a warm day for the fall (79 degrees). We reserved site 51 which was near the water and parking lot.
There were a few ppl passing by and cars pulling boat to the water here and there. If you don’t mind a few ppl, it’s real nice space. Had a wonderful time. Will go again when the park re-opening for camping

This is a wonderful camp ground. We love coming here. It is such a pity you did not keep it open through the winter as McKinney is closed.
So all us winter campers can't camp especially during these difficult time.
Please keep it open next winter. I am sure it would be booked out throughout the winter.

Besides the road noise and little kids peeing by the tents the campground was beautiful as were the RV sites.

Don't wash your vehicle here or you will get a nasty gram from the ranger. When you arrive remove any trash in the fire pit that previous campers left or you will get a nasty gram from the ranger.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why the COE closes these campgrounds in the Fall. Who cares if they drain the lake. Not everyone wants to camp and build a fire in the South when it’s hades hot, a million% humidity and the mosquitos try to eat you alive. Even the camp hosts don’t understand it. Government, smh.
McKinney is our go-to but it’s closed for renovations but Victoria was ok. Not much privacy between sites but it was acceptable for last minute especially since it’s only 15 minutes from home.
