Beautiful site - we especially selected site #56 because our daughter loves to fish, and we wanted a site good for fishing, but far enough away from the swimming area so the swimmers don't discourage the fish.

We had water pump problems and had to check out the same day we checked in. The gate attendant was very understanding and arranged for a credit for a portion of our reservation.

When we stayed here a few years ago, it was very nice and the Bath House was kept clean, NO now, the Bath House's were the nasty us I have ever seen for a Recreation .Gov camp ground. The camp host were very rude also, if they do not like what they are doing they do not need to be there.

Checkout time was an absolute fiasco. The hang tag provided to me read "3PM check out". The USACE website (still, as I type this) reads 3PM check out. The "rules and regulations" posted on the bulletin board outside the bathroom reads 3PM. Upon leaving, I finally saw another piece of paper on the bulletin board that read 11am checkout time, but WHY didn't the 3PM checkout time in the Rules and Regulations at least get marked out?? WHY does the hang tag read 3PM? Normally an 11am checkout time isn't a big deal. This trip, however, it proved critical. It had rained the night we arrived, and the mountain bike trails that I drove 6 hours to ride were closed all 3 days. The night before our departure, the trails finally opened so I planned to ride all morning and part of the afternoon and check out by 3PM. Imagine my dismay when I get a call at 10:45am from my wife while I'm out in the woods on my mountain bike telling me that she just got told checkout time is 11am. So, I ended my ride abruptly in order to comply with the 11am check out time "request" which ruined an otherwise decent chance of salvaging the trip.
Y'all need to do a much better job of getting your rules and regulations coordinated. How hard is it to mark through the checkout time on the hang tag? How hard is it to mark through the checkout time on the Rules and Regulations list on the bulletin board? How hard is it to change your website? Answer: Not hard at all.
Aside from that, the campsite and the facilities were nice.

Beautiful grounds! Loved the wildlife! Deer, squirrel, and cardinals! We would say everything was great, but the bath houses need updating (somewhat disgusting). One thing we didn’t like was the racing/loud vehicles coming/going from the marina restaurant, young kids I’m sure!!
