The lot was very beautiful, perfect spot ! A beautiful path led to the water and not far from restrooms.
Unfortunately the lady at the check in gate was very rude , unfriendly and just hateful!

Victoria has always been our favorite however over past year it has deteriorated. Hosts were kind and friendly and kept bathrooms clean. Seems as though “care of the land and experience “ has went from over care to no care. Sites were never cleaned, (told no longer host responsibility) people were able to park in grass, on sides of roads(limiting campers to be able to pass easily), many many cars at one site (says limit 3, we saw 4-6 overnight), with 13 people at one site, our camper literally built a wishwelling 6 ft tall, running skill saw and hammer most of daytime while there and nothing was said. Boats parked on what has been grassy play areas for kids in past. I know it’s summer time and park was full however some of the guidelines and rules broken and nothing said.

This was our first experience at any federal campground. The facility was great, easy to locate, beautifully maintained and wonderful volunteers. We stayed from Sunday night to Sunday morning and would highly recommend Victoria Campground.

We had a group of homeless staying next to us during both weeks. They had 3 dogs that constantly barked and where never on a leash. They had stuff piled all around the site. I do not know the answer to the homeless problem but it is not family campgrounds.

Beautiful campground. Helpful staff. Not crazy about the gate being locked without a code to get in, but we made it back in time...
