What Guests Are Saying
Porcupine Springs has been a favorite for family gatherings, with many reviewers highlighting enjoyable experiences and great breakfast cookouts. However, there were concerns about bathroom maintenance, including a lack of toilet paper and cleaning during a recent stay. Despite limited amenities, the remote location and dedicated camp host contributed to a positive overall experience.

Excellent, we have been reserving the loop for several years and have enjoyed the stay each time.

We paid significant amount to rent the campground for 3 days for a family reunion. Day 1 about half way through the day we ran out of TP in the bathrooms and they never restocked it as the bathrooms were not cleaned one time while we were there. They reeked of ammonia and when we requested to be cleaned and stocked were told "we will get to it" yet they were never to be seen.

Wonderfully remote and not too difficult to access for a newbie like me. Very limited amenities and a good distance to services. Camp host Linda keeps the mountain in great condition! Her passion shows!

Our camp host Linda was extremely helpfu
l in locating the perfect site for our group.
Linda also helped us throughout our stay, kept the facilities (restrooms) spotless, inquired how she might make our stay more enjoyable, and provided our group with lots of local information and helpful advice.
Linda is an incredible asset to the Forest service campground.

Linda, the campground host was fabulous. In addition to helping us determine which site was ours she did a great job keeping the restrooms clean. Great attitude!

Check in was suppose to be at noon on Sunday check out at 11, arrived at campground at 12:20 and every spot was full. Had to kick out who we find at camp. Two of the spots the people were not around, the one showed up at 3:00, had to ask them to leave, they were in no hurry and didn't leave til 4, the last site left from the weekend group didn't show up until after 4PM. They were very rude when we told them they couldn't be in the reserved area (they didn't pay either). By the time we could set up camp it was 5 PM. Check in was as noon. Very disappointed that this isn't monitored more. Waste of money making the reservation since we couldn't even have the campground we reserved.
