What Guests Are Saying
Huckleberry Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts who take pride in their work. The beautiful setting by the river offers opportunities for relaxation and outdoor activities, making it a favorite for families. However, some guests noted noise from nearby logging trucks and felt that the pricing was high, especially regarding additional fees for electricity.

Long parking spurs and good separation between sites. Great off road riding just across the street. Great fishing, rafting, and swimming out the back of many sites.

Might be a great place for RV camping but the logging trucks at 3am are a real issue for those who are in tents. The sound of the compression breaks is like having a neighbor playing a full mariachi band next to you while camping. Pretty rough. Besides that, the place is nice. I reserved it for a group and ended up leaving early because I couldn't sleep. It was embarrassing.

This place was a nightmare! Logging trucks at 3am, every night until morning and the sound was on par with a train or a marching band perhaps. I am a light sleeper and I was in a tent so if you have an RV and maybe a little hard of hearing anyhow, you might not have the same experience. BTW, I am a sawyer and understand the importance of logging and the value of it but I have been up and down the state camping and only once did I have to deal with trucks before 6 am, that was here. I do not begrudge the industry one bit but 3am is insane! If you come here bring some good sleeping ear plugs. I gave up half way through my stay thanks to sleep deprivation. I camped in a rainstorm where it was only sunny one day and that was a delight in comparison.

We had a 3 night stay in late September with beautiful weather and good fishing. This was the cleanest and best maintained BLM campground we have stayed in and includes the vault toilets. Campground hosts were outstanding !!!
