Site against the one way. Road a little overgrown. Not the greatest for trailers. Will not be returning for these reasons

Amanita campground offers stunning lakeside views, well-maintained sites, and a clean environment, making it a great choice for campers. Many guests enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and found the atmosphere peaceful, with some amenities like an ice cream truck enhancing the experience. However, some visitors noted issues with site maintenance, lack of shade, and noise disturbances, which led to disappointment for a few. Overall, it remains a popular destination for those seeking scenic camping in Idaho.

Our site was entirely in the sun with no shade from the trees. The fire pit was filled with burnt metal and plastic that we had to fish out. No camp host so no one to enforce quiet hours. Kids were screaming and playing instruments until 11 pm and adults were having a screaming match until 3 am. Other sites we walked past were similarly trashed. Also no lake access for those camped not on the lake.

Beautiful area. I'm sorry they had to cut so many trees, but still, a beautiful area to stay. Clean pit toilets and water. The nearby Sinclair had water, propane refill and a dump station. Roads and sites are tight for big rigs, so I'd say our 25' and 21' tow truck is about all you want to pull in to the campground.

Nice, small campground right on the lake! Our spot (#9) was lakefront which was so lovely. For spots that aren’t lakefront there is a boat launch right next door. The sites are a bit over grown with grass and weeds, could definitely use some maintenance especially if you’re tent camping. Overall would still come back again!

Site 7 is absolutely beautiful! Right on the water, the sunrise and set is breathtaking. Camp sites are placed well far enough apart. Vault toilet was exceptionally clean. I just love this part of Idaho!

We drove all the way from Boise for this campsite and were extremely disappointed when we arrived. The site looked nothing like the photos online. The pictures made it appear much larger, had lots of shade, more maintained, and far more usable than it actually was.
There was absolutely no shade anywhere on the site, which was a major issue given the summer heat with children. The area was mostly tall, dead grass, and there wasn’t enough suitable space for our two tents. The campsite felt much smaller than advertised, and my husband’s truck barely fit in the parking area.We were so disappointed that we didn’t even stay. After arriving and seeing the condition of the site, we packed up and left immediately to find another campsite. It was frustrating to spend the time and fuel driving from Boise only to discover the campsite was nothing like what was represented in the listing. For $48 for 2 nights it was a total let down and we took a loss. Accurate photos and descriptions are important when families are planning camping trips. The campsite said it can accommodate up to 8 people and we only had 4 of us.
Unfortunately, this campsite did not meet our expectations and we would not book it again.
