Warm Lake is highly praised for its cleanliness, friendly camp host, and enjoyable atmosphere, especially at campsite #9. Many visitors appreciate the convenient access to amenities and the relaxing environment, with positive experiences overall despite some concerns about campsite proximity and minor mosquito issues. This is a rustic campground with vault toilets and pump water. The campground has elevation gain between sites - so sites 2 and 3 do not have a direct path to site 7 even though the map may appear like there is. I did love this campground - it is quiet with only 12 sites total. A drive to the South Fork of the Salmon down Stolle Meadows road is a must. Warm Lake Lodge has paddle board and Kayak rentals as well as showers you can pay for.

Beautiful! We camped in the Warm Lake Campground. There are 12 camp sites in the loop with water, clean vault toilets and a campground host. It is a walk or drive to the beach at the lake. We ate dinner at the lodge. The food and service were excellent.

The outhouses were not very clean and the camp host did not enforce quiet hours. Camp across street and next to camp host had full size speakers and karaoke machine with a generator running until 11:00pm when finally quieted down after being asked by our group multiple times

Warm Lake was great. I believe you should change your reservation system. I tried so many times to get this reservation to arrive at the campground to find lots of empty spaces. People are gaming the system and the 14 day reservation opportunity is ridiculous. Many years ago perhaps people spent their whole vacation at a campground but not so today.

Site #3 is awful! The sites are very close together, but far from the bathroom which is down a fairly steep hill. The camp host at the time we were there was a very grumpy old guy that wasn’t friendly at all. Gravel roads and not a lot of shade. The lodge is close, which was nice to be able to get things if needed. Shoreline is a much better loop, so stay there if you can. I would only stay at this campground again if I could be in sites 8, 9, or 10.

arrived at 4 pm and left my space at 5pm the same day due to a hellish noise coming from 2 power generators of a van. Refund requested but never received. A shit!

The Good:
Beautiful, small camp ground perfect for a family group. Short drive to Billy Rice Beach which is great for kids. Our kids ride bikes and climbed the small hills bordering the campground. Nice picnic tables, tent sites, and fire rings.
The Bad:
Not great directions. There is no turn off to the forest road listed although you will see the marker. Don’t turn into the Shoreline Lodge and Campground (even though this is an arrow to Warm Lake). Turn into the next left at Lodge Rd. Then the campground will be to right after the curve.
The Ugly:
We reserved four spaces- one space was a double occupancy space. The double occupancy space was directly next to the camp host. As soon as we pulled in the first trailer, the host yelled to stop, we couldn’t pull all the way in or we’d block his satellite dish. So, we couldn’t get the second trailer in all of the way, leaving our vehicle hanging into the street. We paid double the rate for a spot that we had to cram our trailers in so the host could watch his tv. Then right at 5 pm, hottest part of the day, he poured a quarter of a can of lighter fluid and started a huge fire. Our trailers were filled with fumes and heat!

Will we return? Absolutely- this is where our family camped growing up. Great memories in a beautiful small campground. We will stay as far away from the camp host’s site. And never again will we lose money on a “double occupancy” site.
