Sagehen Creek offers a variety of enjoyable activities such as swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing, with well-maintained bathrooms and an accommodating camp host. Overall clean & beautiful campsites.
Pulling a RV on narrow a twisty road is a bit challenging .
Camp host was very thorough & helpful.
The only downside was the free range cows in the camp that left their huge cow poops everywhere & on the trails! Yuck!!

While this is a pretty campground, I won’t be back. There is no camp host on this loop, and many disrespectful campers who ran generators the entire night/day (blatantly running them during quiet hours), and campers riding loud 4 wheelers with bright lights around the campground well after dark/quiet hours. It seems without a camp host, there is no respect for common courtesy and this campground attracts those who don’t wish to have a peaceful camping experience.
Site 9 would have water access when the reservoir is full, but probably not once it begins draining for irrigation. At least half is not 2/3 of the lake drains by Labor Day weekend, although fishing and kayak/SUP still possible there’s just no dock access to the water.
Clean restrooms, and there’s a nice trail around the lake but our experience was negatively impacted by multiple noisy campers.

Area looks great after the fixes. Camp host David was very informative and friendly. Will be visiting more.

Memorial Day weekend was a circus. It was overcrowded, noisy & lacking privacy. The outhouses were in excellent shape and the fishing was good (as was the weather) but I will not go again on a holiday weekend.

Put a note on the website that there is a serious lack of trees for several spots at this campground, and the water spiggot did not have a handle for the hydrant so the supply of fresh water wasn't available either.

Awful camp site it was flooded no room to set up. Had to stay for 3 days. We walk through the mud the whole time. No refund available. Ruined our family reunion.

It was a reservation mess. I booked 07/11-07/14/24. Made an adjustment on 07/05 and cancelled the first day 07/11, kept the rest of the days . The camp host gave my site away to a friend. That was uninspectable. Luckily there was another site open, but it was was a site that was very sunny. This made my trip not as enjoyable as it should have been. The host should have received up to date information, and not given my site away.

The general appearance is much better since the removal of slash from logging the beetle killed trees. Unfortunately, the removal of trees & shrubs leaves little privacy between adjoining campsites. The lake remains lovely in early season, although the fishing was very slow.

This place is amazing! So many options for activities: swimming, paddleboarding, fishing. Appreciated the camp host, he was so nice and willing to give suggestions on things to do and see (fishing and waterfalls). Bathrooms were very well kept.

We had a pleasant time. I was so impressed with the camp host. He took such good care of the facilities and kept everything very clean. My one concern was a pit bull dog (was not on a leash) attacked my grandson's dog that we had on a leash. The owner promised she would put it on its leash which she never did. Approximately 15 minutes later it attacked another dog. They left the beach this time with the pit bull on a leash, but the damage was already done. I realized pit bull's can be very gentle but this one certainly was not.
