What Guests Are Saying
Baumgartner Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the river and hot springs, which enhance the camping experience, along with the friendly and helpful camp host. While access via the rough road from Featherville is noted as a downside, the overall atmosphere, privacy between sites, and amenities make it a popular choice for families and returning guests.

Nice, quiet, and clean campground. In previous years we camped here, the pool would get cleaned, but I never saw it as clean as when the cleaner guy (I think his name is Tyler) did it this time. He really pressure washed it well. No green algae left.

great experience, clean site, and peaceful. Love that the side by sides are to be trailered in and out - keeps the campground quieter and safer for kids.

What a great campground. The camp host is the best. He keeps the place clean and working. The F.S. crew cleans the pool. and rest rooms weekly. The experience at Bumgartner keeps John proud of what he has offered for everyone. The nature trail is a real bonus as well.

Clean bathrooms! Very well kept campground. If you don't like snakes you should camp somewhere else.

We loved the large family campground. Lots of room and quiet. Only wish it had water. Had to drive up to the other camp ground to get water access.

Beautiful campground with fully paved road and campsites. Very clean restrooms. Campground hosts friendly and helpful. Hot spring pool was the perfect temperature! But beware of Forest Road 227 east of Featherville where the pavement ends. It took us over half an hour to drive those 9 miles. Unavoidable deep potholes everywhere with maximum speed of 5-10 mph in many spots.

Lots of hiking trails outside and near the campground. Hot spring was very busy but were able to find a couple times that weren't TOO busy to soak. Beautiful area and site was nice and well kept. Will camp here again (we tent camp)
