Just so you know the road from the south is closed by a landslide just after the big smokey... Apparently it has been closed for like 3 years and Google maps has not updated. We would have had to go all the way back and around... A 60 mile detour in order to reach our campsite. We ended up staying around the big smokey in another fee site. Just ate our fees for baumgartner. Disappointed we never could make it to baumgartner. I'm sure it would have been very nice.

Very clean campground. The vault toilets were kept very clean as well. On the weekdays, it was quiet. Weekends were very crowded and busy. Overall this is a great family campground.

Beautiful campground! Only complaints were the amount of people hovering around the springs, not social distancing at all. Also, there were not grills on top of the fire pits. But overall had a great experience.

Beautiful, well-maintained campground with lots of shade near the South Fork of the Boise River.

We love this campground, despite the high use of ATV's and motorcycles. Imagining this area without the constant noise and dust from the constant ATV usage, it would be perfect. Mountain biking and hiking isn't the best, because you always run into ATV's, kicking up dust and going way too fast. Fortunately, the campground doesn't allow the ATV's to be ridden IN the campground, but unfortunately, they go past the group spot on the road all - day - long.

Nice campground. My only complaint is that you can't drive your ATV in the campground. I understand not riding it around, and being obnoxious....but simply riding it back to your camp spot and back out to go ride trails should be allowed.
