What Guests Are Saying
Baumgartner Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the river and hot springs, which enhance the camping experience, along with the friendly and helpful camp host. While access via the rough road from Featherville is noted as a downside, the overall atmosphere, privacy between sites, and amenities make it a popular choice for families and returning guests.

Great fishing and rafting on hot days. We were there for 5 days and it was very relaxing . The down side was the restrooms were not cleaned and ran out of toilet paper. We will return as always next summer.

Generally a great campground and 5 stars, but this time…springs pool was only half cleaned and the toilets weren’t touched all week. Looked and smelled like a sewer as well as fly and mosquito infested.

Excellent spot to spend a week. it is quiet with no Motorcycles or Off Road vehicles running through as not permitted. miles upon miles to explore the back country. there is a nice deep hole for swimming and even a hot pool to soak. the camp host is excellent and very good to work with and has information on surroundings This is by far the best quiet campground you can visit

Beautiful campground. Excellent hot Springs! Well maintained by Camp Host! Many FCFS spots interspersed with reservable sites so you can have an option to stay longer or move to a different site. Also very close to a dispersed camping area. A real winner!

This campground is amazing! We try to come here, every year. New tables are great! The atmosphere is so perfect with no cell service. The river and swimming area can't be beat and the hot pool is wonderful!

The campground is very nice with camp sites spaced out a bit. Floating and swimming hole are great. Fishing was ok, maybe better with a fly rod. Overall a good first experience, we expect to be back.

Very nice campground in a good location with a beautiful creek adjacent. The only thing I didn't like was the inundation with OHVs nearby. Campers should know that is the predominant recreational activity in this area so if that isn't your thing, you likely won't be comfortable in this place.

This was our second time here. This year we brought two granddaughters with us. We stayed 8 days and had a great time.
The river was close to our site and easily accessible. The natural hot spring filled pool was refreshing.
One thing that impressed us was the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. I don't think I have seen any better maintained than here.

The campground was well-maintained and nice. Very quiet even with lots of people. Hot pool was great! Tube floated down the river and enjoyed the swimming hole. Not all dogs were on leashes. I appreciate it that the ATVs are not allowed to drive within the campground
