What Guests Are Saying
Baumgartner Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the river and hot springs, which enhance the camping experience, along with the friendly and helpful camp host. While access via the rough road from Featherville is noted as a downside, the overall atmosphere, privacy between sites, and amenities make it a popular choice for families and returning guests.

Campground is great! sites are level, well maintained, and positioned as to not crowd space between campers. The downside is the condition of the road from Featherville to the campground. This is not a CG issue, but I can't understand why the State or County cannot improve the road surface by grading, etc. The horrible road condition likely deters potential campers from enjoying this beautiful campground.

Always a lovely campground. The camp hosts do a great job. I can’t imagine it’s easy trying to explain to folks to follow the simple rules, they take pride in doing so.

First time to this campground that many friends have said great things about.
Very clean, quiet and relaxing. The host does a great job of keeping the restrooms clean and the hot spring/pool well attended to.
Also loved how much privacy and space there is between the camp spots.
We will be back again for sure.

Despite the last 8 miles of washboard foat to get to Baumgartner. it was fantastic. Campsites had plenty of room and they were all clean. The hot springs was well cared for.. emptied each night and refilled every morning. I forget the host's name.. Kelly? He was fantastic.

We were there the week before the 4th of July. We always go on either Sunday or Monday since we are retired. We stayed 3 nights. The campground is clean, and was nice and quiet. People were not loud or rowdy. We enjoyed our stay.

We always enjoy our stays here, even when there are multiple families crammed into single sites over the 4th of July weekend. Our site was clean and shaded, the restrooms and pool were clean, and the host was very nice and on top of the riders ignoring the No OHVs signs. The nature trail is nice, the variety of birds is wonderful, and the paved camp road is great for bicycles. My only suggestion is to buy the host a quieter generator, or build him a generator house. I was so grateful we didn't have a site near his.
