What Guests Are Saying
Baumgartner Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the river and hot springs, which enhance the camping experience, along with the friendly and helpful camp host. While access via the rough road from Featherville is noted as a downside, the overall atmosphere, privacy between sites, and amenities make it a popular choice for families and returning guests.

Very nice campground! Camp host was friendly and helpful. Love the hot springs! Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Road in to campground from featherville was very washboardy. Recommend the nature trail. Pet friendly.

Our first time at this campground and we loved it. The river swimming hole was perfect; plenty of shallow bits for the toddler but in the middle it was deep for swimming and fun to watch people jump off the boulder. Some of us really enjoyed the hot spring pool, but it was pretty hot for use in July. Amenities included: vault toilets, fire ring, picnic table, dumpsters and useable water. Pretty shady overall, but we definitely needed our easy up during the day. Even though campground was full, there was plenty of privacy between spots. We'll definitely be back here again.

Clean bathrooms, clean hot springs. I like that the campsite are mostly spread out and that ATVs etc are not allowed to race around the campground. Thank you.

Been camping here consistently for about 25 years. It's as great a campground as it ever has been. Didnt soak in the hotpool since it was so hot but jumping off the rock in the middle of the river is sure refreshing. Caught some tiny trout, saw a couple snakes.

This is a great campground. Nice clean sites and well taken care of. Each site has its own picnic table and campfire ring, as well as a tent pad. Huge tall trees around most of the sites. Potable water and vault toilet access never far away from any site. Most of the camp sites are in very close proximity to the river and the hot springs are awesome, especially after getting into the freezing river. I have stayed here a number of times and in general, all of the other guests are always nice and respectful of the campground rules and other campers. Great place to take the family. I'll be back.
