Black Sands Resort and RV Park

Rode the bikes out for a little camping and fishing. Nice spot right on the water . Enjoyed a great meal at the restaurant. Dinner on the deck overlooking the lake. Very nice staff. Tent spots have fire rings, BBQ, table and nice shade trees.

I went to check in at the crappie tournament tonight and noticed there were no signs, tape, or any clear directions indicating private areas or where participants should and shouldn’t park—especially on the east side of the lake near the narrows.
While we were there, an older woman approached my 73-year-old grandfather and became very upset, saying we were walking through her private campsite. There were no markings or guidance indicating that area was restricted, and with a crappie derby going on, there didn’t seem to be any clear traffic flow for participants.
This took place near the southeast corner of Black Sands.
If special events like this are being held, it seems reasonable to either make certain campsites unavailable or clearly mark private areas and provide directions for boat parking and foot traffic.
I can’t imagine we’re the only ones who have run into this issue.

Great boat ramp, camping, store,and restaurant. Area is clean and well kept. The store is great for the couple items you always forget to grab before a day at the lake. Food is great too!

Still great, the waterfront is different than last year. Always fun with the kids.

We love Black Sands. The swimming area has been fixed up and is super nice for the kids to play, tons of things to do, lots of amenities, very clean, and fishing is great. Many options for camping, RV hook up, and easy over night trips.
