Mokins Bay Campground is a charming and well-maintained site, offering spacious and private campsites that create an isolated atmosphere. The location was good, but not overlooking the lake as the pictures showed. We enjoyed the campground itself, though the tent sized spaces were not very large (even for a two person tent) or flat. My daughters ended up squished into the corner of their tent in one location and then slept on roots in another due to wasps. Some nearby campers were quite loud from 2-4am which didn’t provide very good sleep, but I suppose that happens. Overall, a nice space, it could be great if the tent sights were improved.

We made our reservation on line for a 35 foot fifth wheel. The grade stated slight but in fact in order to level our RV front to back we would have needed to raise the front at least five feet. Not smart, not safe. The descriptions of the sights are extremely misleading and false.

This was the cutest, small, secluded campground! The camp host was probably the funniest, and best I’ve encountered. I truly appreciate him making a solo mom feel comfortable! I wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and just hang out with his dog 😂 Thanks again for saving me when I got “lost” -Jolene

The campsite was amazing, only one negative. The site was near a public firepit, lookout and horseshoe area that people were at frequently and till late at night.
The quite hours were not envorced by host and teens and adults were being loud.

The bathrooms were well maintained for what they are. The campsites were very spacious and allowed an isolated feel. there was no perfectly level area in our site for a tent but not too steep. The camp host was polite. There was a running water tap near one of the restrooms. There was no easy lake water access. One can walk to the lake within about 15 minutes, but there are no beaches suitable for kids.
