About Edna Creek Campground

Edna Campground is located 56 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, in a scenic Ponderosa Pine forest along Highway 21 at an elevation of 5,700 feet. Historic Idaho City is just 18 miles south. This campground contains 11 sites. Picnic tables, utility tables, and fire rings are provided, along with two vault toilets and a water pump. The site is in an open area with shade. Parking spurs are graveled. Due to its proximity to the highway, some noise from passing traffic is to be expected. Highway 21, also known as the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, snakes along Mores Creek to Mores Creek Summit, Gold Fork, and Banner Ridge with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forest. Numerous trail opportunities are in the area, offering hiking, biking, horseback riding, and ATVing. In winter, the area becomes a playground for backcountry skiers and snowmobilers.

We had a great time at Edna Creek. The outer spots seem to be a lot nicer, more tree shade than the inner spaces. We were lucky enough to get Space #4, which was perfect with the hiking trail right above it. Overall, it was a beautiful campground and well-kept with a ton of hiking opportunities all around.

Edna Creek is our favorite campground. Always quiet and clean with friendly campers. This last time the lower restroom was unbearable. The smell was sickening. It forced us to use the woods. We will be back though. Harder than heck to get a spot anymore. Thank you for the memories.

Excellent campground with clean toilets. Each site has a flat tent pad for small or large tents. They also have a flat area with a picnic table, cook table, and a top grade fire pit! Everything was perfect and we'll gladly come back to this campground again!

We camped at site 9 and were pleased with the site. The creek ran next to our camp site and there was sufficient shade. The general campground was small and that was pleasant. There were several walking and hiking paths.
