What Guests Are Saying
Hayfork Group Camp is a wonderful, clean, and private campsite ideal for families, especially kids, with a shallow stream for wading and plenty of trails for exploration. While the water pump has had issues in the past, guests appreciate the overall experience, feeling safe and enjoying the well-maintained facilities. It's important to note that group reservations might not prevent others from passing through, so awareness of the reservation system is advised.

Best group site campground possible! I don’t know how words can express how perfect this campground was for my wedding! I got married August 24 2019 with 80 of my closest friends and family! It was the perfect setting for our dream wedding! The campground was clean and exactly what I expected! I plan to celebrate my anniversaries here for years to come, but probably with a smaller group! Lol Booking is easy and communication was quick and easy! Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to create that memory!

We had a great time at Hayfork! There was just enough room for the 7 of us families & we liked the main gathering area with fire pit, tables & benches. We’d like to return when it’s not as rainy.

Very nice secluded spot, bathrooms clean and workers came in to check on bathrooms while we were there.
But don't forget to shut the gate at the end of the driveway...We had numerous visitors after 10:30 and then again after midnight looking to camp there....

Our favorite group site! Always clean and well taken care of, plus such a beautiful location. There was no toilet paper in the women's bathroom this time, but that was the only downfall. Will still be back again next year for my work camp trip!

The campground was wonderful. The sites across the stream are more private and if you want the group to be together they are far away. However, if you want some of the group to have more privacy they are nice. The sites closest to the stream have a lot of stream noise so put your light sleepers in other locations as the sound may bother them.

Beautiful campsite, well kept, and very private. Be aware that trash was handled pack in/pack out when we visited, but that was previously communicated in an email from the USFS. The stream was slow and cold in October, but we still had fun dipping our toes and climbing on the logs. Lot's of great small trails and the main road for a night walk with flashlights. We had a school trip with elementary kids and it was nice to have the whole camp to run around, however, there were several other parties who pulled in looking for a campsite and ultimately ended up turning around, despite it saying reserved at the front gate.
