Wonderful area. Campground hosts are very helpful. They desperately need to add more camping spaces, especially sites with power, water and sewer. Also need to upgrade the onsite bathrooms and add showers and laundry, paving and leveling of sites. This campground has not had an upgrade for over 50 years.

The campground was nice, quiet a handy to West Yellowstone and Yellowstone Park.
How ever it was under some construction and torn up. Also there was insufficient garbage facilities and direction to dumpster.

This is a great campground and have stayed at Buffalo twice. Clean restrooms, quiet, close to Island Park, close to Yellowstone and all kinds of activities. Stayed several days, and you need to make reservations early. Water was close, and the hosts were great to visit with. There is not much fishing close, but easy enough to drive a few miles. We went to Yellowstone for a day and had dinner at the Gas Station right down the road. It was all good. Deer walk through the campground, moose are in the river and some small critters. Power hook up made it nice. Did not see anyone with a fire and that is good.
