it's very close to the road. I wanted that originally because It's right across the street from Mack's Inn and I was going to float Big Spring with them. But the campground is SO loud. Also, if you're going in the 2021 summer season the camp host is kind of annoying. I knew there were fire restrictions in place because I researched and called the visitor center- they are allowed in developed campgrounds and inside the designated fire ring. He told us that it could not be above the fire ring, I had a single log burning and he stopped to tell me it was too high. I think he should probably shovel his pit more if a single log is too high for him? It just seemed like he made this regulation up and he wouldn't leave us alone. I was visited by him every evening at dinner time and other times aside from that. I just wanted to be left alone while I was camping. He did keep everything clean but I'd rather a dirty pit toilet if it means I can camp in peace.

Camp hosts are very friendly and are working very hard to keep campsites clean and restrooms clean. Love this campsite and appreciate what they do.

Campsite was nice and well spaced apart from adjacent campsites. Unfortunately, the road noise was quite loud and disappointing. The camp host was very grumpy and not helpful at all.
