O'Hara campground is praised for its beautiful setting and well-maintained spots, making it a favorite for many campers over the years. Beautiful setting. Camp hosts were a bit intense. Made for an uncomfortable experience.

The camp hosts made their own rules for the campground. We have been coming to O’Hara for years and never had an issue with the camp hosts but this year was different. They changed quiet hours and came to our camp multiple times to tell us that either the kids were being too loud or that we were and this was all before 9 pm. It’s very sad that this is happening when the kids are playing and using their imagination.

The facilities were okay. Lack of water wasn't a big issue - we had to haul it from the ranger station, about 1 mile distant, instead of from a hydrant hundred of feet away. In either case this was a short distance drive.

We were there for literally 24 hours and had to evacuate from a fire. No problem. The problem, the camp host!!! Joy was great but her partner Freida did not present herself upon first meeting at all very nicely and was just a very aggressive and not welcoming at all. She even counterdicted what the rules were on the sign by saying quiet time is 8:00pm to 8:00am so not to use generators at all during that time. Sign said 10pm to 6am!!!! Then we tried 2 times to ask questions and what not and both times there was nobody at all at the camp host site and when I mentioned I tried to come ask questions she got very aggressive and said " we were there and haven't left". Hmm weird that a rig pulled in later and then she was there! Just not impressed with the host, however the site is enjoyable and gorgeous the short time we were there! We will go again as long as there is a different camp host!
