no camp host someone took our spot, bathrooms terrible, terrible, If you don't offer all the services why charge the full price? some state generator running for a long time each day, did not need that

We have been going to this campground for years. And we love it. It is so relaxing and calming. The only thing we would really like is if the out houses were updated. They are in very bad shape. But the campsites are nice and most are shaded which is wonderful and so are the berries. We also ride our atv up the road for an outing, looking at the beautiful river and finding a swimming hole. The gas situation isn't good. There is no gas in Lowell. You have to drive up to Kooski for gas and groceries. There is no cell service in the campground. But there is a wonderful cafe in Lowell and their milkshakes are great and so is the food.. Also for those who have children there are pools in the river on the campground side made with rocks. Some are deeper than others but the kids really have fun in them.

This was our first visit to O'Hara, and we used the Nez Forest Website to choose the location, and make the reservation. Had a bit of trouble using the Website, but managed to make reservation in the end. What a wonderful c/ground. One of the best we've visited in USFS Forests. Our timing was excellent for picking fresh fruit, like raspberries and wild plums. Filled our fridge in our 5th Wheel.
But, every piece of advertising we received for this c/ground advised we would have to drive 7 miles from Lowell Bridge to O'Hara on 'Gravel'! We didn't - it was paved all the way, and talking to residents in cabins nearby, we were told it had been paved for close to 30 years!!!! Maybe the 'gravel' is to keep too many visitors from that area?
We were advised there were Water Falls futher up the Selway River, but no distance was provided.
We hope to return there in the future.
