What Guests Are Saying
O'Hara campground is praised for its beautiful setting and well-maintained spots, making it a favorite for many campers over the years. While some visitors encountered issues with camp hosts and the lack of a functioning water system, others reported positive interactions and enjoyed their stay. Overall, it remains a popular destination for outdoor activities, despite some areas needing maintenance.

Ohara is a favorite campground. It is situated in mature woods, close by the river. There is enough space and vegetation to give a bit of privacy to most camp sites. Over time, we've had chipmunks, mice, ground squirrels (both Columbian and golden mantled), and deer in camp. I've heard of flying squirrels there, as well, but have never been lucky enough to see them. The campground is popular enough that I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you have an RV and size requirements or if you get attached to a particular site.

Beautiful campground and setting along the river - also very quiet. We stayed in space #24 and it is VERY TIGHT fit. We have a 27' and it was difficult (though I'm not a seasoned RV guy); no room along side the trailer on the pad for much of anything so all chairs, add'l cooking equipment and park table are to the rear of the trailer about 30 feet. We'll stay again but not in #24 - lots of other awesome spots!!!

Quiet and clean except dumpster was overflowing. Tall grass needs to be cut - there are signs warning of rattle snakes in the grass but the grass is chest high on the site proper so you can not see if there are snakes.

So great. Shaded almost the entire time, bathrooms were reasonably smelly, ran out of TP on Sunday and many of the water access faucets didn't work but generally a really great campground.

Nice, scenic area with clean restrooms. I found the signs warning of possible rattlesnakes in the grassy areas as the park does not cut the grass and it is almost chest high so there is no way of seeing if there are any snakes in the grass around the site.
GOOD
* Clean toilets!
*Trash dumpsters and potable water available on site
Opportunities for Improvement
* A campground map posted on the intake message board would be most helpful!
* A note posted on the intake message board advising of the location of the NSF dump station located on 7 mile the road into the campground would be most helpful. Also should clarify if the dump station fee is included in the campsite fee or if it is additional.
Thank you for a nice stay.
